The SCHMETZ Leather sewing machine needles have a left twist cutting point. As the name suggests, use the Leather needle to sew leather, faux leather, paper, and heavy non-woven synthetics. The cutting point easily penetrates leather. Do not use leather needles on knit or woven fabrics.
